I completed the 32-mile Giant Master for Sleeping Giant State Park in Hamden, CT in 2017, and I have been working on my Four Season Giant Master. I completed fall and winter and was about halfway through my spring round when a tornado hit my poor beautiful park, closing it indefinitely. I have had to put my progress on hold while DEEP cleans it up, and it will never be the same.
I am in the slow, slow process of sectioning the near-2200 miles of Appalachian Trail. Even if I had the means to thru-hike, I have no burning desire to leave my life for months and months, and that’s perfectly fine. I didn’t know I would decide to complete the AT when I embarked on that transformative trail run back in 2013, but it only feels right to begin my section hiking journey there.
Since July 2013 up to July 2018, and using AWOL’s 2018 AT Guide as my mileage counter, I have completed 242.7 out of 2190.9 miles.

After seeing the awesome “Catskills 3500” patches and hats, I decided that I want one too. I need to reach the top of the 35 Catskills peaks that exceed 3500 feet, and reach four of them again in winter. As of September 3, 2018, I have bagged 14 of the 39 peaks.
